Bridging Tradition and Contemporary Culture

RIURAW reinterprets the traditional riurau as a contemporary cultural and theatre space. Conceived as an open and adaptable structure, it extends the public realm while creating a seamless transition between interior and exterior. Built with reclaimed stone from the former theatre, the project connects local heritage with a contemporary architectural language.

Based in Madrid, Studio Pachón–Paredes explores the relationship between space, time, matter, and energy through architecture. Their work transforms local traditions and existing typologies into contemporary, adaptable spaces shaped by research and experimentation.
